The Impetus Team
Our team has grown considerably since the organisation was first established in 2011. The current team falls into two main categories:
School Improvement Consultants
These are typically senior educationalists with a strong track record of improving schools. Each consultant is personally invited to join the Impetus team. They are linked with our subscribing schools and provide targeted support, working closely with headteachers to guide and strengthen school improvement.
Curriculum Consultants
These are typically senior leaders in their field who have demonstrated recognised expertise in their subject area. We offer curriculum expertise in the following areas:
- Curriculum Design and Development
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Computing
- Religious Education (RE)
- Physical Education (PE)
- Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)
Within the team we also have registered school inspectors, SIAMS inspectors for church schools, and National Leaders of Education.
In addition, we provide specialist expertise to support schools in key areas such as Special Educational Needs (SEN), safeguarding, and specialist provision.
