We have conducted many one and two-day reviews that provide external validation of a school’s work while also supporting school improvement. These reviews can have a specific focus or offer a broader evaluation at a point in time, giving leaders a clear, objective view of strengths and areas for development through experienced external eyes. Schools often use these reviews as a developmental tool to help leaders identify next steps, refine priorities and strengthen practice. Some have also chosen to use them as a ‘dry run’ ahead of an Ofsted inspection, with consultants producing an ‘Ofsted-style’ written report at the end of the review.
